Comcast Family Picnic

On Sunday (after church) we went to the Comcast Family Picnic. It was actually quite nice! It was completely free and they had all kinds of activities for kids. They had face painting, fishing, water rides, a carosel, ice cream, ballons, magic show, and a little zoo.
Audrey LOVED running around with her little friend, Kevin. They were (kind of) throwing a ball back and forth and she wanted to go wherever he was going.
I took her on the carosel but we didn't get any pictures of it. She was a little unsure at first but then when it was time to get off she was a little sad. She did fantastic the whole time we were there (and that was without a nap the whole day).

It's Been A While...

So it's been a little over a year since I've posted on here. I highly doubt anyone even looks at it anymore. Here's to hoping!

I just joined a cooking club that some of the girls at church started. They were inspired by the movie Julie and Julia so we are also doing a blog to document our crazy times trying to cook some interesting recipes. Anywho... That brought me back to blogspot and I remembered about my actual blog. So I am going to try and do better.

I also realized that I haven't been doing that good at taking pictures on my baby girl. I was trying to pick out a picture to update the blog with and there really weren't any good ones. So I will need to get better at that as well.

She has grown up a lot since the last post. She has, rolled over (both ways), crawled, walked, ran, threw a temper tantrum, and said some words. First words were Pa Pa and baby. Audrey is now 18 months old *tear* and getting older every second. I love watching her change and grow. She seems to learn something new everyday! Today she learned how to point to her nose and eyes!
Her's a picture of her when we were headed to the park a couple months ago.

She absolutely LOVES being outside! I love that she loves being outside because it forces me to get out more!

That's really all I have to say right now. Update more soon!

Audrey Loves Oma

Audrey has definitely been enjoying her time in Arkansas with Oma and Opa. She gets lots and lots of attention which she LOVES.

Audrey is in a bit of a eat-your-face stage. But if you take pictures of her while she is doing it, it almost looks like she is giving kisses.

Audrey's First Official Photo Session

A friend of mine who is pregnant and due in August is a photographer and is practicing on Audrey since she's never done baby photos before. Of course, Audrey decided to sleep through the whole session. She's still adorable!

Daddy Will Do Anything For His Little Girl

I've been asking him to shave forever. Audrey comes home and he shaves. She's already got him wrapped out her finger.

Our First Tummy Time

Since she was having a little more awake moments we decided to try out tummy time. For a while she just laid on the pillow looking around. Then she started kicking her legs and as you can see in the last picture she did a nose dive into the mat...lol.

News From the Doctor

At Audrey's one week Doctor visit she weighted 8 lbs 3 oz. She was still not back up to her birth weight of 8 lbs 11oz but we worked on that and at her two week visit she was at 8 lbs 14 oz, so all is good there.

However, at her first visit Dr. Chandler noticed a dimple on her lower back and had us go have an ultrasound done of it to see if it could be anything major. After the ultrasound was done they are suspecting that she might have a tethered spinal cord. So we now need to have a MRI done. Dr. Chandler recommended that we have that done at Texas Children's so we have scheduled it for June 6th, as they won't do a MRI until she is 3 months old. If the MRI confirms that she has a tethered spinal cord then she will need to have surgery to fix the cord so that it doesn't cause issues with her legs and such later on in life.

While we are not thrilled at the thought of our little baby girl having surgery, we would much rather her have the surgery (if needed) now than her to go through more difficult things later on in life. Plus we know it's all in God's hands and he has a plan for everything.
